Miniature Mon(Tues)day Weekly Roundup

Had to do some unexpected RL stuff yesterday so I didn't have time for the weekly update so for this week we get an Miniature Tuesday instead. So with the Tzeentch BSB done and the Flagellants done I can move on to some of the other projects I want to get finished.

One thing for example is to upgrade the Flagellant unit, so the unit filler I had in there (which by the way won a competition on warhammer-empire.com some years ago) didn't cut it anymore. So I went into the Empire bitz box and found many parts of my old War Altar which I scrapped when I finished the other one. It's a nice model though and I wanted to use it so I decided to make this into a new unit filler, a large unit filler.

Below you can see how it looks so far, I will make one more guy pulling the thing and finish up the Hamlet Prophet of Doom who is riding it, I think it can look really nice in that unit when it's finished.

I also doing some stuff with my WoC, I continue with my Gorebeast but wasn't happy with how the skin turned out so it will take a bit longer, I'm also working on a unit filler for Nurgle Warriors and wanted a skin tone that is blueish but still look Nurgle, I hope I achieved that with these ones and I quite like how the look.

That is all for this time, I have plenty of other projects I'm working on as well but these are the ones I want to get finished first, hopefully really soon. So until next time...

The Empire: Ten more Flagellants

Why I paint ten more Flagellants you ask? Well.... certainly not because they are any good in the game now but I quite like the models and a big unit of them looks really nice. My unit needed some reinforcements and some touch ups though so I got around and painted up ten new models for the unit. I'm also in the process of upgrading my unit filler which I will show you on the next Miniature Monday so stay tuned for some more conversion work being done.

Until then here's some middle of the unit Flagellants, meaning I haven't been putting that much time into painting them. These are also some of the old metal minis I have wanted to repaint for ages, so many of them are in the same pose (accept the girl which is an Mordheim Middenheim youngblood if I remember correctly)

News: Prodos Games shows us more of their models

End of August will we get them.... hopefully. But until then we can look at some teasers, because that is exactly what these pics and vids are. So give us more Prodos! :)

Captain Hiroko of Mishima, old but deadly :)

Capitol Heavy Infantry, badass!

Praetorian Stalkers, they had to redo these and I must say I prefer these ones, really cool looking.

Capitol Light Infantry, you will probably see a lot of these in the Capitol lists, really cheap troops but looks really great as well.

Miniature Monday Weekly Update

It will be a short one this time as I haven't really painted so many things the past week. My focus has been on completing the Tzeentch BSB which I finished up painting yesterday. Now the plan is to finish up eight Empire Flagellants and two Greatswords which are all already almost finished. I have also painted a little more on my Gorebeast Chariot and will probably be the next thing I will finish up painting for my WoC along with a Spawn.

I have also some stuff in store for the future, because I have made some reinforcements to my WoC army and one of the first things that arrived is "little" fellow.

I have also ordered two boxes of River Trolls that I will convert to Chaos Trolls, hope I get them soon!

Warriors of Chaos: Tzeentch BSB on daemonic mount finished!

Finally! You know the feeling when you think that you will never finish painting a certain model? Well I had that feeling several times with this one. And it may not be that strange really. It's a quite complicated model for starters with a lot of details, and just much bits and bobs. And then I changed the banners, weapons banner designs etc. and it just takes a lot time.

But for such important model as your BSB I think that you should take your time, it's one of those models people tend to look at first when checking your army out and is most times one of the things they remembers most.

So here's it is, Tzeetnch BSB on Daemonic Mount, I based it on the Lord on Demonic Mount model but switched out the the right arm holding the weapon for a lance (will use as an halberd) from the Chaos Knights kit. I made a banner pole out of plastic tube and then added the banner from the Skullchrushers kit with all the Khorne stuff filed off. And as the tip of the iceberg I added the burning banner top from the Blasted Standard finecast kit.

The banner design is free hand but the actual design is taken from the old 4th or 5th ed Chaos Armybook back from 94'.

I'm really happy with the end result and please post your comments below, do you like it? what could be better? Everything is welcome....almost. Next post will not take a week like this one did so expect an normal Miniature Monday tomorrow.

Miniature Monday Weekly Update

Another Monday and another update, it feels like I have been posting about the same things all the time lately but I have also been painting models I want to put some time and effort into.

The past week I have been painting mostly on my Tzeentch BSB on a Demonic Mount, it's a great miniature with lot of details so it takes some time to paint up, I have also been doing some minor conversion work on him and recently changed banner which is the last thing among with the base to finish before the whole model is done so expect that in the coming days.

I have been painting on some other models as well and it has been mostly WoC models the past week. I continue painting on my Khorne Daemon Prince which I will add wings to and use him as an Bloodthirster as well as an Khorne DP and yes I will start a little Daemon Army because of this and that I already have a lot Daemon models.

I also continued painting a Spawn which won't take that much time to finish up. That's pretty much all, I will continue on this but I will change focus to Empire again when the BSB is done and finished and I have some rather nice modelling projects in store for them as well so check this space out in the near future.
