More ungreenskinz!

Even though I had a pretty long break from the blog/plog I did paint some miniatures in this time. And mostly Orcs and Gobbos who have had a brand new Army Book wich I have of course as well as some more lovely miniatures.

When they where released I bought the book, the magic cards, a box of Savage Orcs and a Arachnarok spider. All in all it was a great release, the hardcover books looks really nice and from what I can tell, and what I'm been hearing from others it's seems like good balanced book. Which also can be competitive but not over the top like some of the older 7th ed books.

I also like the miniatures, especially the spider and the savage orcs which looks great with all the tattoos and war paint I intend to paint on my army. But before I show you some of them I want to post some pics of the other mainly gobbo stuff I've been painting.

First up is the finished unit of twenty Night goblin archers, I'm quite happy with how it turned out and I think the movement tray makes a good job showing the forest theme. Next up is a Night goblin big boss and a shaman from the Skullpass box. There's also a picture of the first two spider riders, where I didn't use Army Painter's Dark Quickshade but instead just a coat or two of Devlan Mud. The result is pretty much the same and really an alternative for those who don't like dip and quickshade. Tell me want you think.

Warriors of Chaos - Champion

I may have mentioned that I also in the progress of making a Warriors of Chaos army. I have alwaays thought of making it with a strong Nurgle theme, but when I looked for some nice pictures on the net I found a lot of Nurgle but not much Tzeentch. The same thing pretty much from the rulebook.

So I thought whatta heck, I'm doing Tzeentch. The first test mini i did was with a chaimail base witch blue and purple washes, pretty much how they painted Chaos Warriors in the old 6th ed. book. This didn't look that well though, may have a picture somewhere to show you but anyway. This is how it turned out in the end.

Will be showing you more Warriors in the future aswell as my converted Warshrine. Also have some Ungreenskins so stay tuned.
