Miniature Monday: Orruks and Grots!

Continuing on my work on converting my Orcs and Goblins into Orruks and Grots (ugh... hate calling them Grots... ) for Age of Sigmar.

This is not only a change of base from squares to rounds, I also repaint them quite extensively into the new colors I think I will go with for my Forces of Destruction. Mainly black and orange, also I redo their skins into real green skin even if it's paler to most Orc/Goblin skins.

Anyway, I quite like how they are shaping up. Please tell me what you think.

Hobby Update: Terrain and more

Been doing a lot of work on my terrain lately, much of the terrain I had looked okey to begin with but wanted it to me more unified and look better together, especially for playing games for AoS.

That and the time I spent on painting my Stormcast Eternals have all taken my hobby time lately (accept some AoS games, Imperial Assault and Descent)

So here we are, will bring you an Stormcast Eternal update, next part of my AoS starter review and hopefully some more fully painted figs to show you all in the near future.

Just filling one of my quarters of the board with the latest terrain Iv'e finished.

A citadel wood, not finished, quite a lot of stuff to be done. Among them all the skulls and the the leafs, but looks really good already I think.

The large hill in the background and the smaller one in the foreground is an old Citadel kit, witch is quite nice, but's it's just grass and rocks basically. Adding the dirts and adding some other grass colors matching your board makes a lot! Looks really nice now.

Old Citadel trees, just out them on a base so they don't fell off all the time.

Some old terrain from Ziterdes, just added some additional sand/dirt and switched out some trees and added some darker grass. Nice stuff, might need some work but works out fine as it is right now.

All the terrain I have been doing lately (including the quarter of the board all is standing on). Also added on this pic is my little brothers old Chaos shrine/rock thingy. Just touched it up a little and it's good to go.

Here you can take a look on the battleplans from the 96-page book in the AoS starter box.

Age of Sigmar: Stormcast Eternal from White Dwarf finished!

My first Age of Sigmar miniature is finished! I painting this yesterday, found some things I missed but you get the idea on what color scheme I'm going for.

I wasn't sure if I wanted to go with steel or a bronze on the armor, but as you can see I went with the bright bronze and I quite pleased with how it turned out. It's an nice contrast to to dark purple as well.

Really nice miniature to paint even if I had some mishaps with falling figures and such. Please tell me what you think, and if you have painted one, what color scheme did you go for? Or even better post links to your models in the comments so I can look at it as well.

WIP Wednesday: Manticore and terrain

I have plenty of different painting projects laying around which I have just started on, but for today I wanted to show you these.

First up is a Manticore for Warriors of Chaos. I wanted to try out my airbrush a bit more so I just started on this one and to see what I could do. I think I'm done with the airbrush on this model now but I'm very pleased with how the colors looks, it might not look all to natural with the HLs and stuff but these are magical bests of Chaos so I just wanted some cool colors and smooth transitions.

I stayed with the blue theme of my Chaos army but also blended in some turquoise to make it stand out.

When I was done I noticed his right ear was missing :S that's why it does not have any colors at all at the moment.
And I also wanted to show you some new terrain as well. I'm currently working hard on making a nice game board for my Warzone miniatures, (and that can work for other sci fi games as well) and here's some terrain using 40k and Deadzone scenery and barbed wire.

Currently painting them up as well and I like how they are turning out. I also have some finished terrain from the Deadzone Battlezones which I will show the coming days.

Unboxing: Mantic Games Crazy Box (Sci fi/Fantasy 20014 edition)

Hi there, this video unboxing has been long overdue because of several things, mainly problems transferring the movie clips from my camera which is isn't working as it should right now.

But... even if this is kind of late, and you can't purchase the 2014 ed version anymore, it's still a hint on how this years Crazy Box could look. As I said, I did a video unboxing of this one. So hope you enjoy and over too.... myself!

If you also purchased one of these boxes, either this one or the sci fi only one, please share what you got in it. Always interesting too hear how random they are.
