News: Space Hulk: Deathwing for Ps4
For those not familiar with the game, Space Hulk: Deathwing is a first-person shooter experience of Games Workshop's classic Space Hulk board game set in the Warhammer 40,000 universe. Space Hulk: Deathwing offers players the chance to experience a desperate battle against Genestealers in the claustrophobic tunnels of a Space Hulk, as they gain skills, new abilities, and new equipment thanks to experience earned during perilous missions.
You'll take on the role of a Space Marine from one of the most secret and most feared Space Marine Companies: the Deathwing from the Dark Angels. Strap on your Terminator armor and equip the emblematic weaponry of the Space Marines to overcome the threats awaiting you in the Space Hulk. As a Librarian, you will also master the destructive powers of the Psykers. Your skills and performance in battle grant you Fervor Points, to spend on 4 skill trees allowing you to improve your abilities, unlock new powers, access powerful relics, and devastating new weapons.
Awesome I say and looks really nice so far, will most certainly buy when it'a released and I'm glad that I already have an Ps4. Best of all is that you are an Dark Angel and no Ultra Smurf.

News: New Warhammer 40k MMO 'Eternal Crusade'
Behaviour Interactive and Games Workshop® proudly announce a new online game in the Warhammer® 40,000® universe: Warhammer 40,000: Eternal Crusade. Behaviour Interactive has obtained the rights to create a wholly new MMORPG persistent war experience for PC, PS4 and Xbox One set in Games Workshop's universe of the 41st Millennium. In the game, players choose a Warhammer 40,000 race and fight directly as one of their warriors in massive conflicts for territory. It will be up to each faction's community to determine their own destiny as they vie for control of an entire planet.
"I am thrilled to announce what will finally be the first MMORPG based on the Warhammer 40,000 license," said Miguel Caron, Head of Studio, Online at Behaviour Interactive. "Eternal Crusade's team are all MMO development veterans and with the support of Behaviour's 20+ years of experience this is going to be the online Warhammer 40,000 universe game that fans have been dreaming of for years!"
"Warhammer 40,000: Eternal Crusade is the second milestone in Behaviours new online strategic positioning after last year's Star Citizen Announcement." said Rémi Racine, President and Executive Producer of Behaviour. "We are very happy with the progress of the online studio and you should expect more similar announcements to come."
"The depth, breadth and sheer level of detail that the Warhammer 40,000 universe has after 26 years of continuous development makes it one of the great fantasy settings of our times." said Jon Gillard, Head of Licensing at Games Workshop. "Experiencing the thrill of first hand combat in this world of eternal conflict, with thousands of other players beside you, will be fantastic."
Warhammer 40,000: Eternal Crusade is currently in development for PC, PS4, and Xbox One and will release in late 2015.
Main features of the game include:
Experience the gameworld with 3rd-person, behind the shoulder action featuring precision gunplay and brutal melee combat with excruciating finishers;
Participate in a persistent online war to conquer the planet, its fate completely in the hands of the players;
Become a warrior from one of four initial factions, each unique and opposed to one another: Space Marines, Chaos Space Marines, Orks and Eldar.
Participate in truly massive conflicts that simultaneously bring thousands of players to bear over territories and other strategic resources.
Get behind the controls of Space Marine Rhinos, Predators, Ork Battlewagons and other iconic vehicles of the 41st millennium;
Hack through genuinely challenging procedural content alongside your battle-brothers and never have the same experience twice;
Earn the right to customize your builds in a deep progression system drawing on the rich Warhammer 40,000 universe.
Found a Battle Squad with friends and prepare for conflict from your customized shared space in orbit - then drop down to the planet together and seek out glory.Comment: Awesome to drive a Rhino and such stuff but I hope they make this MMO good and fun to play. MMOs is probably the hardest you can try to do in the Game industry today and many fails even with good IP:s behind them. Will be interesting to see how it goes though and hopefully we will get a great game.

Warhammer Quest for iOS: First impressions

I didn't play it back then I'm afraid and have never played after either even if I've always thought that it sounds like a really fun game. Anyway, last week Rodeo Games released their take on the game for all iOS devices including iPhone, iPad and iPod.
I bought it the other day and have now played several hours and I struggle to put away my iPhone because it's so addictive and fun. The game in itself isn't that complicated it's pretty much exactly like the old boardgame, it's just really fun and you think; 'just one dungeon more and then I'm done' and one hour later you think the same again.
I went with the standard group first (you can buy additional three characters if you want), Marauder, Grey Wizard, Waywatcher and Ironbreaker and it works really well, especially now when you got the hang of it.
So do I recommend it? Yes I do, for measly $4.99 you a great game for your iOS device (I normally doesn't rate iOS games) even if your a Warhammer fan or not. But if you are It's a must buy in my opinion. May do a proper review when I have finished the game later.

News: Total War developer to make Warhammer games

SEGA has teamed up with the studio behind the Total War series, Creative Assembly, to enter into a multi-title licensing deal with Games Workshop.
As a result of the deal, a new development team has been set up at Creative Assembly's UK studio to work on the first of several games based in the popular Warhammer universe, which is due to release sometime after 2013.
Tim Heaton, Studio Director at Creative Assembly, said, "The incredibly rich and detailed Warhammer world is something we grew up with, and has left an indelible imprint on us as both designers and gamers.
"We’ll be doing the Warhammer universe justice in a way that has never been attempted before."
Creative Assembly now has quite a lot on its plate; this new Warhammer game is the fifth project in production at the studio, joining the likes of Total War: Rome II and an as-yet-untitled Alien IP.
So...would you guys be interested in Warhammer: Total War?
You can also read more about this at Creative Assembly's webpage.

Painting Break? Diablo III is here!
Twelve years of waiting for this little goodie. I know this post isn't really war gaming related but I just had to make a little post about a game that just arrived, Diablo III. I have waited for this title since I played D2: Lord of Destruction back in the day and most of the time I felt that it won't probably be a new game (even though this would have been a real stupid move financially from Blizzard). But now the day is here, and I can't start to play until the evening. Well I guess I have to wait just a little longer.
So what does this mean for my lovely little figurines that need some paint so badly, I may paint a little bit less as I also want to spend my preciously small amount of free time playing D3. But most of this time I will take from my Ps3 gaming time so I won't abandon my painting sessions and this blog. Actually have two smaller updates coming quite soon so stay tuned, and go play some D3 in the meantime.
