News: New Stormcast Eternals Vanguard Chamber pictures!

Just saw these in the comments for a post on War of Sigmar. Gryph Chargers I believe they are called, much more dynamic than the Dracoth Riders, I like! And a unit with really big crossbows and a cute bird. Really cool stuff!

Tzeentch pictures from Jan 17 White Dwarf!

Just got my latest issue of White Dwarf today, and there's a lot of Tzeentch goodies in there. Just the first couple of releases so far but also a lot of info about the new Faction for Age of Sigmar. Thought I'd share the pictures from all the Tzeentch stuff, hopefully this gets you as excited as I am.

Really decent prize tags!

We see some Tzaangor Skyfires as well

Fighting against Free Guild and Devoted of Sigmar

Cool art of the Kairic Acolytes

Lovely artwork here! And we are seeing classic dwarfs..ehm Duardin which looks like Ironbreakers and even Gyrocopters.

A lot of options for the Tzaangor, including a banner which isn't that common in newer AoS kits.

Lovely artwork, left one is a Silver Tower.

Back of the magazine shows an Tzeentch army in all it's glory. Added Slaves to Darkness units as well!

News: The new releases shown in Nov White Dwarf

Got my White Dwarf today but haven't read through it enough to give you an review just yet. But there was a couple of surprises for me in the new releases section that I thought was interesting.

Haemotrope Reactors for 40k, really nice looking. And for AoS an re release of the Balewind Vortex (so no more OP vortex for those who moan about that) and the Magewrath Throne but without the skulls underneath?! Hopefully they release the skull mountain as a separate kit.

New Hero bases for both 40k and AoS!

Of course the main release of the month The Burning of Prospero

In the right lower corner there is a new thingy I haven't seen before, an repair kit for when your models brake during gaming!
What do you guys think about the new releases?

Last hours of Siege of the Citadel 2nd Edition Kickstarter!

Haven't written as much about this Kickstarter as I would have wanted. Now it's in it's final 8 hours as I'm writing this and just passed $500k.

I have pledged for the Dark Legion pledge, where you as I'm writing this get $564 worth of contents with 118 miniatures! For just $149, and it's really a great value if you ask me.

You get the second edition of a great game from the past, with awesome new miniatures and tiles. Along with new more indepth rules made by the first creator of the first edition of the game Richard Borg and many other big names in the industry. You also get two big expansions for the game with Luna City and Brotherhood expansions and a lot of smaller expansions like all of the apostles for example.

Can't tell how excited I am for this game and this kickstarter which have an awesome value already and probably even more before it has ended. So I highly recommend you to check it out as there's is still time to participate. Also Fantasy Flight Games is going to publish this game so it feels like a game that will continue to grow even after the kickstarter.

This is how the Dark Legion pledge looks at the moment.

News: Siege of the Citadel Kickstarter campaign launched and funded!

The day has finally come, Siege of the Citadel will be re-released with an Second Edition. I actually missed out on this game back in the day, but I remember seeing it as a kid and that I really thought it looked awesome.

I love the Mutant Chronicles IP and I love dungeon cravler/ co up type of games so this game is perfect for me.

It's produced by Cabinet (owner of the IP) and Modiphius (Mutant Chronicles RPG, Achtung! Cthulhu, Thunderbirds Board Game, Infinity RPG, Conan RPG etc.) and have some of the biggest names in the industry in their crew on making this game. Including Richard Borg who made the first edition.

Anyway, you can get a lot more info on their Kickstarter page, go and check it out! I have of course pledged for the Dark Legion alternative.

News: New Aos Mini Starter Set 'Storm of Sigmar' pic

GW is doing a new mini starter set for AoS called 'Storm of Sigmar'. Must say I like those cards, it would be awesome to have them for all of your warscrolls. If the price tag is right I might buy this, even if I really don't need the models.

Picture is from a Twitter post from @BigJimGiF

News: Pics of Silver Tower Warscrolls for AoS

Looks like my Tzeentch Arcanites army will get some much awaited reinforcements. So lets take a look shall we?

Wow, really good in combat and a good caster too? Yes thank you. Love the looks of this guy, and the rules seem really great as well.

The Gaunt Summoner was a big let down with the first rules for him on a disc. This however looks so much better, the spell can really dish out a lot of mortal wounds to big units. Loves how he also have his familiars with him.
Love the looks of these guys, not to sure about the rules. Fluffy but no power house. They mix and match their weapons though which is really interesting. Allocate suffered wounds on shield guys, and have the others fight back.
Does not seem like a power house either but a fluffy and decent unit. 2 wounds is always nice and mix of weapons like the Acolytes
Yay! Just like the god ol days Pink Horrors now can turn into two Blue Horrors when they die, wow if a unit of 20 Pink Horrors die in one turn they are turned into 40 blue horrors!

And if the Blue Horrors die they become Brimstone Horrors! Haha love it.
Awesome model and the Illusory Twin rule is just fantastic, must play with this dude some time.

Another unit that can mix and match weapons, love the mechanic and these can also have some missile weapons.

Warhammer Quest: Silver Tower content pictures

I'm so excited for this game, and hopefully it's a nice marriage between the old and wonderful Warhammer Quest and Age of Sigmar. Well the first pictures of what we get has hit the internet, and well I love it so far. Pretty much all of the contents is what I already have armies for, and for the first time ever a Stormcast model without full armour and helmet (if the priest is an actual Stormcast, might just be an normal Warrior Priest)!

And then we have all the Tzeentch stuff, my nr 1 patron among the Chaos Gods, finally some love for Tzeentch! I'm excited beyond words, and so far all looks really awesome.

Anyhow, here's the first pics I gathered.

Via War of Sigmar
Info: 51 models, 125€, double faced terrain (13) two books (rules and adventure) 2 to 4 players. Different objective (some are here for the LOOT!!!, other to kill the Gaunt summoner. Adventure book is 40 pages with 9 adventures.

And if you have missed GW:s announcement video, here it is.

The General’s Handbook - Three ways to play Age of Sigmar

Many of you have probably already heard of the announcement Games Workshop did on their Facebook page for Age of Sigmar. If not well, there's some big stuff coming this summer for AoS and the name of it is The Generals Handbook, the greatest thing about this book is that it's introducing three ways of playing AoS.

Not only that, GW also talked to some of the biggest AoS/WHFB tournament organizers to make this as good as they could possibly do. And earlier today three of my absolute favorite podcasts released an collaboration episode where they talk about what happened when they where invited to Games Workshop HQ to get behind the scenes and check this out.

Here's some short notes about what it is from Ben Curry over at Bad Dice Podcast
  • First thing, its a book and will be release in the summer.
  • There are 5 new campaigns including path to glory,
  • 22 new battle plans from small games all the way up to epic battles between the games biggest characters.
  • 6 new ‘Pitched Battle’ scenarios
  • Multi-player and team play and of course,
  • full points values for every Warscroll in Age of Sigmar.
For more info about this I highly recommend checking out the podcast episode from any of three involved, which is Heelanhammer, Bad Dice or FaceHammer.

News: Duardin Fyreslayer Sprue leaked!

Just run across these two pictures showing what it looks like an Duardin Fyreslayer, most probably an character or Dragon/Daemonslayer variant with the option of an Icon/Standard. Looks really cool in my opinion, can't wait to see it assembled and painted.

Really interesting as well as this is the first release of some other race/faction than Stormcasts or Chaos for AoS. And Fyreslayers looks really cool in the artwork so far.

Got the pics via: Talk Wargaming
