Miniature Monday: Lord-Celestant on a Stardrake

A long while since I made an update here, I needed a break I suppose. I won't go into why and what not because that isn't interesting. What is interesting is that I haven't taken a break from painting, It's just that I have had a hard time actually finishing anything.

Partly because of this dude I'm showing you today. My second large model for my Lions of Sigmar Stormcast army is complete, and it's a really big one, the Stardrake. The rider is actually magnetized If I felt I wanted a Drakesworn-Templar instead (haven't painted him up yet though).

Even if this model took a long time for me to paint up I really enjoyed painting this, and I'm really happy with the end result. Also he looks great together with the rest of the army.

Will try to do more updates in the future, but I will be moving this month along with a lot of other stuff so I can't promise anything. Anyway hope you like it.

Miniature Monday: Retributor Prime

So just a quickie today and an almost totally finished Retributor Prime. Did an small conversion on this one. I added a Tzaangor head from the Darkoth Chieftain sprue from Silver Tower and put some green stuff on. Like the result and makes it a little more unusal. More pics of him and the rest of the unit in the next couple of days.

Miniature Monday: Second unit of Judicators for my Lions of Sigmar

Actually finished these two weeks ago but never got around taking pictures of them. Well here's my second unit of my Judicators, painted them up quite fast (for being me) and with a better result than the first unit. Not much to say really, no conversions or anything, but I used the Realm of Battles bases for all of them and they are actually really nice to work with. Just need to add some more texture, stones, dirt and what not, but I liked how they turned out.

Thats all for today, working on my Retributors next and most of the base colors are done, so probably finished until next Miniature Monday. Cheers!

Miniature Monday: Celestial Hurricanum

Just a WIP this time around, but at least a late WIP. OMG these models (Hurricanum, Luminark & War Altar) takes forever to paint up. I don't think it really shows, but there's just so many details and stuff going on that needs paint it really takes forever to paint any one of these up.

I have a War Altar, soon a finished Hurricanum, and I still also want an Luminark, despite how f%"#ng! long it takes to paint one up. That is a good kit I tell you that.

Anyhow, here's what I got so far. The actual Hurricanum is soon finished, I need to paint some more planets/space objects, two characters on it and some minor things and then done. I hate how long time it takes to get these things finished, but I also love to paint them up.

Well here's what I got for today. I painted it to match my Stormcast as well as my Free Guild. Hope you like it and I will soon post pics of the final product.

Miniature Monday: Kairic Acolytes Wip

So kind of doing a little of everything at the moment so no finsished model for this weeks Miniature Monday. But at least a photo of some of what I'm doing, the Kairic Acolytes for Silver Tower and my AoS Tzeentch army.

Really nice models, doing some tryouts with the Soulstone Blue technical color from Citadel, using it on armor etc. And I think I have achieved a quite nice effect even if it's not finished yet (been using it together with washes and glazes).

Also beginning on rebasing and some repainting on my Empire, and that is a huge task! But fun as well, anyway cheers guys!

Miniature Monday: Chaos terrain

Finally put myself together and painted this old Chaos terrain piece up. Did a lot with the airbrush, and it really speeds up the process with these large terrain pieces.

I really like this terrain piece and have thought long about painting it up and use the airbrush to do some glowing effects. I might have gone over the top a little but I think it will look quite cool on the battlefield.

Miniature Monday: Brimstone Horrors

Miniature Monday: Devoted of Sigmar

Just a quick post today. Iv'e decided to rebase most of my Empire army to incorporate into my Forces of Order in AoS. And I'm starting with the Devoted of Sigmar.

So I painted up a new warrior priest, and repainted and rebased the first of my Flagellants.

The pics aren't great but I like how it turned out, and I like how it looks with my Stormcast Eternals. What do you think?

Miniature Monday: Chaos Chimera

For this Miniature Monday I finally decided to rebase my Chimera for AoS. I did some of my 'magical stuff' flowing, some stone, snow to match the rest of my Tzeentch army. I also decided to try out my new stencils from the recent kickstarter by Anarchy Models. I used the HS-29 Creature Feautures - Reptilian. I messed it up somewhat so the effect didn't show as I wanted. But it was my first try and I think the wings look more organic and better now.

Celestant-Prime Finished

Hi there folks, have been painting like crazy for some time now and all that time I have put into this model... the Celestant-Prime.

I must confess I was actually quite intimidated and excited at the same time before I decided to paint this model up. It's a really beautiful model first of all, with a lot of details everywhere. Also it's that kind of model that don't take kindly to mistakes therefor I painted this one in many different parts before assembling it all together.

It was intimidating also because I knew this was a model I wanted to do the very best of my abilities when it comes to painting.

So I'm very happy to say that this model is probably the best paintjob Iv'e ever done and I have used pretty much all of the knowledge I have into this model. I think it paid of and I'm proud of how it turned out in the end.

Hope you like it too, now I'm off to paint up some more of the grunts for my Stormcast force.

Minature Monday: Stormcast Eternals Starter Set finished

Hey there, this will be my biggest Miniature Monday so far. It's actually not one, but two new units that is finished and that concludes the whole Stormcast Eternals part of the AoS Starter Set finished. I know I know, some guys finished it in a week. But I'm a slow painter, and I might have done some other bits and bobs in the meantime.

Anyway, glad it's finished and I must say I really like the look of it. Currently painting my Celestant-Prime and I have more reinforcements to the army. Will also buy some of the newest kits, dracoth cav riders looks awesome.

Next up is my second unit of Liberators. I will add more models to both units so they get their big weapons as well.

And I also finished my Prosecutors, damn hard to get good pictures of a whole unit of these, so I took a couple. Like how they turned out though and will add a second unit of these from the starter set.

Miniature Monday: Chaos Knight of Tzeentch

I will not repeat that it was a long time since I posted last time and that I will post more in the future. But.... I think I will this time :P

Anyway, have been painting on this guy, then left him, painted a little more, then left and.... now he is finished!

It's the first of ten (hopefully) Chaos Knights for my Tzeentch warband, or Tzeentch Arcanites/Slaves to Darkness or whatever. Here he is, I will probably continue with this armor for my Tzeentch, what do you think about it?

Miniature Monday: Orruks and Grots!

Continuing on my work on converting my Orcs and Goblins into Orruks and Grots (ugh... hate calling them Grots... ) for Age of Sigmar.

This is not only a change of base from squares to rounds, I also repaint them quite extensively into the new colors I think I will go with for my Forces of Destruction. Mainly black and orange, also I redo their skins into real green skin even if it's paler to most Orc/Goblin skins.

Anyway, I quite like how they are shaping up. Please tell me what you think.
