Hobby Update: Blood Bowl and more!

Received some great stuff today! The Blood Bowl box, the Skaven team and Death Zone Season One! I must start to get my stuff together and post more on the blog. So I will be doing Unboxings/Reviews again and starting with this stuff (even if you probably have seen it many times before). That will probably be posted tomorrow though and this post is more about what I'm doing hobbywise at the moment and my thinking is that this will be a regular update each week.

Sorry for the bad picture here, just wanted to share how my Lions of Sigmar Stormcast Eternals are doing, it is growing but more is coming, Fulminators, more Judicators a Knight-Venator and a Stardrake. And then I will buy more stuff to buff out the Paladin units, as I want ten of each kind I also want one or more units Prosecutors and a Knight-Azyros so I can field the Warrior Brotherhood battalion.

I will also try too build some more on my Chaos army and more precise my Tzeentch. Hopefully we will get an Battletome some time next year so I want to be ready for it. This will be my second AoS army and after that I will also do some Destruction. All I need is more time!!

As seen on the pictures above my hobby room is in chaos right now, with a lot of projects at the same time. But it's fun and I have been quite good at painting my Stormcasts and not being too distracted by all the other things. It's getting really hard now though with Blood Bowl and everything.

I also got some more stuff today, the new texture paints. Will be doing some experimenting with these as I have used the old ones quite a lot. And then give you a small review. That's it for now. Please tell me if these kind of posts is interesting to read at all. At least it's good for my as I can see how good I am at keeping to one project at a time (will never happen fully but I try)

Miniature Monday: Stormcast Eternals Paladin Protectors

Continuing working on my Stormcasts, and I really worked hard to pretty much paint these guys up during the past week.

I don't know if it show or not but a lot of time and effort is in the armour itself with all the highlights and what not. It's worth it though because the whole miniature is covered armour.

I really like the Protectors both as how the models look as well as in the rules, and I'm glad I'm finished with these guys. The sad thing is that I'm working towards having ten of these, ten Retributors and ten Decimators, so far five Retributors and five Protectors are done. But I'm getting faster painting these guys actually so... I'll get there.

Until then here's the first five. Next up is some gaming actually during the weekend and painting wise I will paint up something different. Probably something for Silver Tower but we will see. Cheers!

Miniature Monday: Lord-Celestant

This dude took more time than he should have. Probably because I decided to go with white on the one side of the cloak and the purple on the other. This took a lot of time, also I just wasn't happy with how he turned out. So I did white on his helmet as well and some other stuff and in the end I was happy with the result.

So one more hero for my stormcasts, I now have two more in the pipeline, the Stardrake and the Knight-Venator, both models takes a lot of time. Have done most on the Stardrake though.

But before I finish them I want to finish my protectors. Have done the base colours so hopefully they won't take to much time. I want to finish them and one of the heroes before this years end, hopefully even more because I'm looking for reinforcements :)

News: The new releases shown in Nov White Dwarf

Got my White Dwarf today but haven't read through it enough to give you an review just yet. But there was a couple of surprises for me in the new releases section that I thought was interesting.

Haemotrope Reactors for 40k, really nice looking. And for AoS an re release of the Balewind Vortex (so no more OP vortex for those who moan about that) and the Magewrath Throne but without the skulls underneath?! Hopefully they release the skull mountain as a separate kit.

New Hero bases for both 40k and AoS!

Of course the main release of the month The Burning of Prospero

In the right lower corner there is a new thingy I haven't seen before, an repair kit for when your models brake during gaming!
What do you guys think about the new releases?

Miniature Monday: Retributors finished!

Painted two more Retributors, one with the Starsoul Mace and one regular guy. So now it's a full unit. Want five more though and three more Starsoul Maces but that will have to wait a little, next up is the Lord-Celestant on foot and five Protectors.

That's it for now.

Miniature Monday: Knight-Vexillor finished!

Continueng too finish more characters for my Stormcast army, this time it's the OP choice that many Stormcast players uses too throw in their best units into the enemy, the Knight-Vexillor with his mandatory pennant of the stormbringer.

Not much too say really, he is like most stormcast models too paint. But I'm happy with the result and that brings my army up too seven painted characters! Have some more characters as well as many troops as well. So will continue to paint up this army and it's still a lot of fun. Please tell me what you think!

Last hours of Siege of the Citadel 2nd Edition Kickstarter!

Haven't written as much about this Kickstarter as I would have wanted. Now it's in it's final 8 hours as I'm writing this and just passed $500k.

I have pledged for the Dark Legion pledge, where you as I'm writing this get $564 worth of contents with 118 miniatures! For just $149, and it's really a great value if you ask me.

You get the second edition of a great game from the past, with awesome new miniatures and tiles. Along with new more indepth rules made by the first creator of the first edition of the game Richard Borg and many other big names in the industry. You also get two big expansions for the game with Luna City and Brotherhood expansions and a lot of smaller expansions like all of the apostles for example.

Can't tell how excited I am for this game and this kickstarter which have an awesome value already and probably even more before it has ended. So I highly recommend you to check it out as there's is still time to participate. Also Fantasy Flight Games is going to publish this game so it feels like a game that will continue to grow even after the kickstarter.

This is how the Dark Legion pledge looks at the moment.
